One day I’m gonna get around to writing a really bomb ass mission statement that’s worthy of the badass ladies who are out there playing shows, writing songs and supporting each other in this magical, dark and twisted thing that we call music.
In the meantime, this website will serve as home base and hopefully evolve into a full-on music blog, or even better, an actual community of human beings, as we continue regular monthly shows in Nashville or wherever the storm clouds lead us.
Inclusive, non-binary, welcoming, encouraging, supportive, and maybe a touch cynical and melodramatic. But a community nonetheless. That’s the idea.
Femme Noir Music was founded by Laura Rabell who also does the booking for Femme Noir Friday shows, but we are looking to expand into a formal 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with volunteer and paid opportunities for music authors, visual artists, singers, songwriters, musicians and more.
